Insurance - Business System Analyst (1-year contract)

We are seeking an experienced Business System Analyst to lead the analysis, design, and implementation of life and health product features within our policy administration system and related platforms.
Solid understanding of insurance product configuration, including rate setup, pricing, product features, underwriting rules, policy servicing, and new business issuance

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements across the product lifecycle
  • Review and analyze existing systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities and recommend efficiency enhancements
  • Prepare detailed use cases and user stories to clearly communicate requirements to development teams
  • Act as a liaison between business units and offshore teams to ensure alignment on deliverables
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), including scheduling and validation of solutions against business requirements
  • Support project management activities such as planning, progress tracking, and risk reporting
  • Work with offshore teams on resource planning and capability development to meet Hong Kong team expectations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business System Analyst, preferably in product development and policy administration systems
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, policy lifecycle, and regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with system development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with policy administration systems such as Ingenium or LifeAsia
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with Oracle or DB2 databases
  • Understanding of system integration across platforms
