Key Responsibilities
1. Facility & Hardware Management
- Physical Maintenance: Serve as the primary point of contact for 5 HK locations, ensuring all UPS systems and cooling units are operational.
- Vendor Coordination: Schedule and oversee Preventive Maintenance (PM) for facility infrastructure (UPS, Power, Cooling).
- Hardware Lifecycle: Perform hands-on installation, racking, and stacking of HP, Dell, and Lenovo servers and storage units.
- Cabling: Execute and troubleshoot structured cabling (Fiber/Copper) within server room environments.
2. Incident Response & Escalation
- Global Command Centre (GCC) Liaison: Act as the local escalation point for the India-based Command Centre. When global alarms are triggered for HK facilities, you will investigate, diagnose, and resolve the issues on-site.
- Troubleshooting: Rapidly respond to hardware failures or connectivity issues to minimize downtime.
3. Site Operations & Escorts
- On-Site Presence: Co-own the Data Center schedule, with a mandatory presence every Friday and Saturday for maintenance and change windows.
- Vendor Escort: Manage and supervise third-party vendors during on-site visits to ensure compliance with security and safety protocols.
Requirements
Technical Skills:
- Server Hardware: Proven experience installing and configuring enterprise hardware (specifically HP, Dell, and Lenovo).
- Infrastructure: Deep understanding of Data Center physical layers, including UPS systems and power distribution.
- Cabling: Expert-level troubleshooting for server room cabling and patch management.
Soft Skills & Languages:
- Communication: Fluency in Cantonese and English is mandatory to communicate effectively with local vendors and the global team in India.
- Coordination: Strong ability to manage schedules and prioritize tasks across multiple physical sites.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to support the Friday/Saturday shift rotation for Data Center co-ownership.
- Ability to travel between 5 different Hong Kong locations as required.
