Infrastructure Cloud Architect ($70-85k)

This is a leading financial institution with strong presence in Hong Kong. They are expanding the team to support cloud migration projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture design for cloud-based platforms and enterprise systems
  • Define cloud strategy, architecture standards, and best practices across the organization
  • Architect and drive large-scale cloud migration programs from on-premises to cloud
  • Design secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-native and hybrid solutions
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to translate requirements into architecture designs
  • Provide technical leadership and governance across multiple projects and engineering teams
  • Establish reference architectures, design patterns, and reusable frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with security, risk, and regulatory requirements within financial services
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions aligned with business goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience in IT, specifically in cloud engineering field.
  • Extensive experience in cloud architecture, solution design, or enterprise architecture roles
  • Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) at architect level
  • Proven experience leading large-scale cloud migration and transformation initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture frameworks, microservices, and distributed systems
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, DevOps practices, and automation tools
  • Solid understanding of security architecture, IAM, networking, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in financial services, banking, or investment institutions is highly preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
  • Good communication skills in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage
