HRBP Director | Hospitality Group | 1.5 mil

Role Purpose
This role leads HR Business Partnering for a large, service‑intensive organisation where front‑line excellence, workforce agility, and customer experience are business‑critical.


As HRBP Director, you will work closely with senior business leaders to shape people strategies that support high‑volume operations, diverse workforce profiles, and consistently high service standards. You will lead a seasoned HRBP team and act as a key advisor across workforce planning, talent, employee relations, and organisational change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic people advisor to senior leadership within customer‑facing operations, translating service and commercial priorities into practical HR strategies
  • Lead an HR Business Partnering team supporting complex operations with large front‑line, shift‑based, and part‑time workforces
  • Drive workforce and manpower planning, staffing models, and succession strategies to ensure operational resilience, service continuity, and cost efficiency
  • Provide hands‑on guidance across the full employee lifecycle, including performance management, promotion, retention, engagement, discipline, and grievance handling
  • Advise leaders on employee relations, labour relations, and union engagement, ensuring operational stability and risk mitigation
  • Partner closely with Talent Acquisition and Learning teams to build strong talent pipelines, leadership bench strength, and management/graduate trainee programmes
  • Support large‑scale change initiatives such as organisational restructuring, operating model changes, and service transformation programmes
  • Apply people analytics and workforce insights to improve organisation design, role clarity, productivity, and capability uplift
  • Champion consistent onboarding and team assimilation practices to embed service culture and performance expectations
  • Actively participate in leadership forums and cross‑functional initiatives to elevate people leadership capability across the organisation


Ideal Background & Experience

  • Degree holder, preferably in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive HR experience within customer‑facing, service‑driven industries such as F&B, hospitality, airlines, theme parks, retail, leisure, or other large front‑line operations
  • Proven experience supporting high‑volume, operationally complex environments with both full‑time and part‑time workforce populations
  • Strong track record as a senior HR Business Partner influencing leaders in fast‑paced, service‑critical settings
  • Deep expertise across employee relations, labour relations, workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning
  • Demonstrated ability to manage unionised environments and handle sensitive people matters with sound judgement and credibility
  • Strong service mindset with a clear understanding of how people practices directly impact customer experience and business outcomes
  • Confident and credible communicator with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and operational leaders
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua is an advantage
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and navigating ambiguity in a dynamic operational environment
