Head of Electronic Engineering

Our client is a global manufacturing and product development company, specializing in consumer-oriented electronic and electrical products. With integrated engineering and production capabilities, the business focuses on delivering high-quality, innovative solutions across international markets.

Responsibilities:

• Support senior leadership in driving engineering strategy and overseeing product development initiatives
• Lead hardware and software engineering teams to deliver end‑to‑end product design and development
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including mechanical engineering, manufacturing, quality, and sourcing to ensure smooth product lifecycle execution
• Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project quality, timeline, and cost targets
• Provide technical direction in electronic design, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards
• Work with procurement teams on component sourcing, evaluation, and qualification processes
• Oversee engineering project execution, setting and monitoring KPIs to ensure performance and delivery targets are met
• Drive continuous improvement in product performance, engineering processes, and design efficiency

Requirements:

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or related disciplines
• Extensive experience (around 20 years or above) in electronic product development, with significant leadership exposure
• Strong background in hardware and software development, particularly within manufacturing-driven environments
• Experience in consumer or household electrical products is highly preferred
• Solid knowledge of MCU hardware/software, digital and power electronics, and engineering principles
• Familiarity with SMT and PCBA processes
• Experience working with industry safety and compliance standards
• Proficient in engineering design tools and systems
• Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder coordination capabilities
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Manager
• Good command of English and Chinese
• Willingness to travel occasionally for manufacturing support
