The Group Legal Counsel will play a pivotal role in supporting the General Counsel on a wide range of legal matters. This position is ideal for a seasoned lawyer with substantial litigation experience who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Litigation management: Lead and oversee complex litigation matters, including strategy development, case preparation, and coordination with external counsel.
• Dispute resolution: Advise on dispute resolution strategies and manage arbitration or mediation proceedings.
• Legal advisory: Provide expert legal advice to business units on litigation risks, regulatory compliance, and contractual obligations.
• Risk assessment: Identify potential legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Policy development: Support the General Counsel in drafting, reviewing, and implementing legal policies and procedures.
• Stakeholder engagement: Liaise with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Position Requirements

• LLB or equivalent law degree; admission to practice law in a common law jurisdiction preferred.
• Minimum 6-7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), with a strong focus on litigation.
• Familiarity with the media, entertainment, or technology sectors, including regulatory frameworks and industry-specific litigation issues.
• Proven ability to handle multi-jurisdictional disputes and collaborate with international counsel across diverse legal systems.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, resilience, and ability to work independently without direct reports.
• Strong communication skills in English & Cantonese.
