Our client is a fast-growing global consumer products group with business operates across multiple international markets and has built a strong global presence through its market-leading toy and consumer brands.The organization owns and operates a significant manufacturing footprint, including multiple factories across China and Southeast Asia, and is continuing to invest heavily in operational excellence, technology transformation, and global expansion. As part of its next phase of growth, the company is seeking an experienced Global Finance Director to lead and further strengthen its international finance function.

Position Overview

• This is a newly created leadership position with broad responsibility across global finance operations, commercial finance, manufacturing finance, governance, and transformation initiatives.
• Partnering closely with the COO and senior leadership team, the successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership across multiple business units, legal entities, and international markets while driving operational excellence throughout the finance organization.
• This role offers a highly visible platform within a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced multinational environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Report to the COO and lead a team of 100 finance professionals

Finance Leadership & Strategy

• Lead the global finance function across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Provide strategic financial insight and support to the executive leadership team.
• Develop and execute finance strategies that support business growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Serve as a key partner to the COO and global leadership team on commercial and operational decision-making.

Finance Operations

• Oversee all core finance functions, including:

Financial Accounting & Reporting, Consolidation, Treasury, Tax, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Factory Finance

• Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and compliance across all regions.
• Drive consistency and best practices across international finance teams.

Manufacturing Finance

• Build and enhance factory finance capabilities across manufacturing operations.
• Partner closely with operational and supply chain leaders to drive performance and efficiency.
• Develop meaningful operational metrics and management reporting to support decision-making.

Business Partnering

• Collaborate with commercial, operations, HR, IT, and business leadership teams globally.
• Support business planning, investment decisions, performance management, and growth initiatives.
• Provide financial leadership for major strategic projects and transformation programs.

Transformation & Process Improvement

• Lead finance transformation initiatives and continuous process improvement programs.
• Support the ongoing SAP implementation and future systems optimization.
• Drive automation, scalability, and efficiency across the finance organization.
• Establish best-in-class finance processes and reporting frameworks.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, HKICPA, or equivalent).
• Minimum 20+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Significant experience within a multinational consumer products, FMCG, manufacturing, retail, or related environment.
• Proven track record leading finance operations across multiple countries and legal entities.
• Experience managing large, geographically dispersed finance teams.
• Strong exposure to manufacturing and operational finance environments.
• Experience with SAP or large-scale ERP implementations.
• Strong understanding of global finance processes, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.
• Hands-on leader capable of operating in a fast-growth environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational execution.
• Fluency in English & Mandarin is essential
