Our client is a leading global consumer company with footprints across multiple continents. With a strong commitment to innovation and growth, the company is seeking a Global Strategy Director to drive corporate and business unit (BU) strategy, align global initiatives, and lead special projects that support expansion and long-term success.

Position Overview

The Global Strategy Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic direction. This individual will partner closely with the Head of Strategy, CEO, and senior leadership to ensure corporate alignment, support BU-level planning, and lead high-impact projects that drive business expansion globally.

Position Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO and executive leadership to define and execute corporate strategy.
  • Ensure alignment of strategic initiatives with business KPIs and long-term objectives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on global expansion opportunities.
  • Collaborate with BU leaders to develop and refine departmental strategies.
  • Translate corporate priorities into actionable BU-level plans.
  • Support execution and performance tracking of BU strategies.
  • Lead strategic initiatives related to new market entry, M&A, partnerships, and other expansion opportunities.
  • Drive cross-functional projects that enhance competitiveness and growth.
  • Monitor global consumer trends and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop frameworks and tools to improve strategic planning processes across the organization.
  • Represent the strategy function in key internal and external forums, ensuring alignment and visibility of strategic priorities.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of strategy professionals.
  • Foster a culture of analytical rigor, innovation, and collaboration.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in senior strategy roles.
  • Mandatory experience at a first-tier consulting firm (MBB).
  • Proven track record in consumer-facing industries (FMCG, retail, e-commerce, lifestyle, etc.) in a strategy role.
  • Strong track record of delivering measurable business impact through strategic initiatives.
  • Experience working across multiple geographies with sensitivity to cultural and market differences.
  • Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • High adaptability and resilience, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic global environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent in English, Cantonese & Mandarin.
