General Manager - Sales & Marketing (FMCG)

We are partnering with a leading FMCG company to appoint a commercially driven and strategic General Manager to lead its Sales and Marketing functions.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving profitable growth, strengthening brand equity, and accelerating market expansion across all channels. The ideal candidate is a seasoned commercial leader with a strong track record in FMCG, capable of integrating sales execution with brand strategy to deliver sustainable business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the full spectrum of multi-channel sales and marketing functions
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and P&L performance for the business unit
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial team to achieve business targets.
  • Develop and execute integrated commercial strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and market share targets
  • Drive channel excellence through effective route-to-market strategies and distribution optimization
  • Build, position, and grow brands through impactful marketing campaigns, innovation, and portfolio management
  • Strengthen collaboration between sales and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to inform strategic decision-making
  • Champion customer-centric initiatives and build strong relationships with key retail and distribution partners
  • Partner with senior leadership to shape business strategy and long-term growth plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • 15+ years of proven leadership experience in FMCG, with a strong balance of sales and marketing exposure
  • Demonstrated success in managing multi-channel sales operations and brand portfolios
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue growth and profitability
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Entrepreneurial, result-oriented, and adaptable to dynamic market conditions
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is required
