Front Office Business Analyst, 85k

A leading financial services organization supporting global equities trading and research operations, focused on delivering robust technology solutions for front office functions. This role is a business-facing analyst position that bridges trading, research, and technology teams to deliver and enhance equity trading systems across international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support front office project initiatives to design and implement solutions for global equity trading and research platforms
  • Engage with front office, middle office, and research users to gather requirements and translate them into clear documentation (e.g., business requirements, UAT plans)
  • Analyze business needs and propose high-level solutions for system enhancements and implementations
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure accurate translation of business requirements into technical design
  • Identify, track, and escalate risks and issues to the project manager in a timely manner
  • Monitor and report on business performance, identifying trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Assist in test case preparation and conduct reviews to ensure quality and completeness
  • Support user acceptance testing by coordinating with business users and resolving gaps between requirements and delivered solutions
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and key issues to project stakeholders and senior management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with strong knowledge of front office cash equity trading systems (OMS/EMS) and exchange connectivity
  • Solid understanding of equity trading workflows, particularly in Asia markets; hands-on trading support experience is an advantage
  • Familiarity with tools and technologies such as Excel, SQL, Linux, and FIX protocol
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese required)
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Relevant experience in investment banking or securities trading environments supporting equity trading applications
