Financial Controller - APAC

About the client

A leading European business providing services to sizable organisations. With an APAC regional office in Hong Kong, they are currently looking for a Financial Controller to manage the team, assist with planning and analysis as well as manage the overseas shared service centre. As a multinational firm they offer excellent benefits to their staff and have an international working environment

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Finance Director, manage the monthly financial and management reporting duties for Asia Pacific Region
• Work closely with offshore shared service centre (SSC) to ensure accounting operations are running smoothly and efficiently
• Take charge of process streamlining, enhancing internal controls, and resolving issues with the SSC staff
• In charge of providing valuable insights on cash flow, balance sheet and working capital
• Work with regional directors across different countries to explain variances and business performance
• Ensure internal compliance and accounting frameworks are met
• Hire, develop and train finance staff in the business

Requirements

• CPA Qualified with Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accountancy or relevant subjects
• Previous Big 4 Audit experience is preferred but not mandatory
• At least 8 years of working experience in the commercial field, regional experience is preferred and APAC exposure would be advantageous
• Regional experience managing APAC or Greater China is preferred
• Fluency in spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin), English to work with Hong Kong and regional team
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to manage and develop team
