Financial Accountant - Inventory & AR

Our client is a well-established international retail group seeking a Senior Accountant to support its inventory management and retail operations, partnering closely with business stakeholders while strengthening stock controls, reporting accuracy, and process improvements across inventory and operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate stock counts across boutiques, offices, and warehouses, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
• Prepare, review, and analyse monthly inventory and stock-related reports, resolving discrepancies and operational issues
• Drive improvements and automation in inventory control processes and reporting workflows
• Partner with business units and functions to provide financial insights, risk assessment, and decision support
• Monitor retail accounts receivable, boutique sales, collections, and perform credit card reconciliations
• Ensure month-end closing activities comply with IFRS and internal group policies
• Prepare turnover and performance reports and support internal and external audits
• Perform reconciliation and control monitoring for gift certificates, customer deposits, and retail/e-commerce processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualifications such as HKICPA or ACCA are preferred
• Around 8+ years of experience in accounting, finance, inventory management, audit, or retail operations
• Strong analytical skills, business awareness, and experience in business partnering
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform well under pressure
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, organised, and customer-focused mindset
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP, BI tools, Power BI, SharePoint, or VBA is an advantage
• Fluent in English and Cantonese
