Equity Application Developer, ibank, 60k

Our client is a leading investment bank. This role focuses on the development, enhancement, and support of in‑house front‑office and middle‑office systems. You will work closely with business users and internal IT teams to deliver stable, efficient, and high‑quality technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interfaces for the Middle Office System and related back-office systems.
• Serve as the primary contact for these systems, ensuring timely and effective resolution of operational and technical issues.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test plans, and test results.
• Perform system analysis, development, testing, and implementation for new systems and system enhancements.
• Work with first-line support teams to provide second-line application support.
• Partner with internal IT teams (such as Database and Infrastructure teams) to analyze, track, and resolve technical issues.
• Provide regular status updates and findings to managers or team leads.
• Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for proposed system solutions, and present clear recommendations to the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 3+ years of relevant development or system support experience
• Experience in banking, securities, insurance, or other large enterprise environments is preferred
• Strong hands‑on experience with C# / .NET or JAVA
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with ETL, batch processing, or data integration
• Familiarity with SSIS, scheduled jobs, or similar tools
• Experience supporting production / BAU systems
• Fluent in Cantonese and English
