Data Project Manager

We are partnering with a leading organisation undergoing an exciting data transformation journey and are seeking an experienced Data Project Manager to drive delivery across multiple strategic initiatives.

This position will play a critical role in maintaining the overall programme view, ensuring alignment across projects and workstreams, and delivering meaningful business outcomes through data and analytics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage medium to large-scale data transformation projects
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones and delivery roadmaps
  • Drive programme governance across multiple workstreams and project teams
  • Identify project risks, dependencies and issues, and proactively implement mitigation plans
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, data specialists and technology teams
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Support the delivery of enterprise data models, semantic models and self-service BI capabilities
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions and communicate complex information in a clear and impactful manner
  • Drive user adoption and business engagement throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure projects deliver measurable business value and strategic outcomes

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering medium to large-scale projects as a Project Manager or Program Manager
  • Strong understanding of data and analytics projects, including data modelling, semantic models and self-service BI environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project dependencies, governance frameworks, RAID logs and stakeholder communications
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to tailor messages to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Highly proactive with strong ownership, accountability and initiative
  • Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid delivery environments
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence or similar platforms

Preferred Experience

  • Experience delivering enterprise data transformation programmes
  • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau or similar analytics platforms
  • Experience working with large and complex stakeholder environments
