Data Engineer

Our client is undertaking a major supply chain analytics transformation and is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support the integration of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Geek+ operational data into a modern enterprise reporting platform.

This role will play a key part in gathering business requirements, designing scalable data solutions, and developing self-service business intelligence capabilities that support operational and strategic decision-making across the supply chain function.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, and data specialists to deliver high-quality analytics solutions using Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders
  • Analyse WMS and Geek+ data sources and identify reporting opportunities
  • Design and implement scalable data models and analytics solutions
  • Support data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Leverage Microsoft Fabric and Databricks to build modern data workflows
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology teams
  • Support SSBI (Self-Service Business Intelligence) development initiatives
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance standards are maintained

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst within enterprise environments
  • Strong SQL and data analysis capabilities
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • Advanced Power BI development experience
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
  • Understanding of data integration and ETL processes
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse, or Distribution experience
  • Exposure to WMS platforms
  • Experience working with Geek+ solutions
  • Azure data platform experience
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modelling
