Data Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements from retail stakeholders.
• Act as the bridge between business users and technical/data teams.
• Analyze retail data requirements across sales, POS, inventory, customer, and operational datasets.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and data specifications.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions, workshops, and requirement clarification sessions.
• Support project delivery by ensuring requirements are properly understood and implemented.
• Participate in UAT and testing activities when required, but primary focus is on requirements gathering and stakeholder management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience with data-related projects.
• Proven experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working on retail data projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, reporting, BI, or analytics projects.
• Ability to work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business users.
• Exposure to SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or other data/BI tools is advantageous.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
