Custody Operations - Officer/ Senior Officer

Requirements:

  • Execute custody operations activities, including securities settlement, corporate actions processing, account opening, and fee billing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage daily settlement activities for both scripless and physical securities across equities, fixed income products, and other financial instruments.
  • Process and monitor both voluntary and mandatory corporate action events.
  • Administer monthly custody fee billing, collection, and related reconciliation activities.
  • Coordinate the preparation and distribution of client holding statements.
  • Maintain and update custody account records and related documentation.
  • Perform static data maintenance and ensure timely updates of client and transaction information.
  • Deliver second-level client support by responding to inquiries and resolving issues professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, risk management standards, and regulatory guidelines issued by authorities such as the HKMA, MAS, and SFC.
  • Escalate suspicious transactions, operational incidents, and outstanding issues to management and relevant stakeholders in accordance with incident management procedures.
  • Support system enhancement initiatives by reviewing business requirements, preparing test scenarios, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), and validating system functionality.
  • Contribute to business and operational projects, including client onboarding, business continuity planning, process improvement, policy reviews, and job-related training programs.
  • Undertake additional routine and ad hoc assignments as delegated by the Team Manager and Department Head.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in securities operations or a related field is preferred. Outstanding fresh graduates with strong potential and a proactive attitude are also encouraged to apply.
  • Successful candidates will initially be assigned to a specific custody operations function, such as settlement, corporate actions, billing, or account opening. High-performing individuals will have the opportunity to rotate across different functions through a structured fast-track development program, gaining broad exposure and building expertise as well-rounded custody operations professionals.
