We are partnering with a leading international law firm to hire a Compliance Officer for their growing team in Hong Kong. This is a critical role within a highly collaborative Asia-Pacific function, offering a promising career path and exposure within the legal sector.
Responsibilities:
Execute conflict search requests in a timely and coordinated manner across global offices.
Analyze search results to identify and facilitate the resolution of potential conflicts of interest.
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of new client and new matter opening requests.
Conduct comprehensive research and advise fee earners on necessary Customer Due Diligence (CDD).
Monitor existing client profiles and implement robust information barriers as required.
Perform rigorous sanctions screening and handle risk-related queries from the business.
Collaborate closely with global IT and Accounts functions to ensure compliance integrity.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant AML or conflicts experience within a professional services environment.
Strong technical proficiency in compliance softwares.
Solid understanding of AML and conflict rules applicable across major international jurisdictions.
Proven research skills using industry-standard vendors.
Excellent communication skills with a team-first attitude and ability to work under pressure.
