We are partnering with an established onshore law firm to hire a Company Secretary to join the team. Based in Hong Kong, this pivotal role supports the high-performing corporate and banking finance practice. You will spearhead corporate secretarial compliance for a diverse portfolio of entities while providing direct leadership to junior staff.
Responsibilities:
Deliver full-spectrum corporate secretarial services for a diverse portfolio of Hong Kong incorporated companies.
Oversee statutory compliance obligations, maintaining up-to-date corporate registers and filing required statutory returns accurately.
Support the corporate and banking finance teams with transactional secretarial matters and entity structuring.
Coordinate board and committee meetings, including drafting meticulous minutes, agendas, and resolutions.
Supervise a dedicated secretarial assistant to ensure high-quality administrative workflow execution.
Liaise directly with external regulators, clients, and internal legal partners regarding entity management.
Review internal administrative processes continuously to enhance overall team operational efficiency.
Requirements:
Possess a degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline, with professional qualifications (HKACG/CGI) considered a strong asset.
Demonstrated track record of at least 4 to 6 years of corporate secretarial experience, ideally gained within a professional services firm or law firm environment.
Proven expertise handling Hong Kong incorporated entities alongside a robust working knowledge of the HK Companies Ordinance.
Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
Strong hands-on approach with the capability to work autonomously in a streamlined team structure.
Exceptional organizational abilities with a sharp eye for legal administrative detail.
