Our client is an international FMCG company with more than 200,000 employees across the globe. The company recorded worldwide revenues of more than 70 billion Euros and is one of the biggest players in its category of products globally. The company has extensive operations and is a clear market leader in Asia. They are looking for a Channel & Strategic Insights Manager to lead the shopper marketing and trade strategy for the core business, covering the HK and Macau market with further growth plans.

You will be responsible for leading the shopper marketing strategy, consumer and brand data analytic projects and monitoring the annual commercial investment allocation across all sales channels to capitalise on business opportunities. As a Channel & Strategic Insights Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Define trade/ shopper marketing strategies for the portfolio and set an annual execution plan to meet commercial objectives
  • Formulating and driving predictive analytic, market insight plan and provide data-driven recommendations for customer engagement strategy
  • Build customer satisfaction and drive mutual business growth plans; manage the budgets for all channels and customers, supervising the allocation of the same
  • Manage the commercial deployment and sustaining of Strategic Revenue Management
  • Design actionable plans that deliver category growth obtain support from key accounts and optimise customer margin
  • Identify opportunity in omnichannel - prioritise relevant physical & digital store formats, define a roadmap to success for each category by channel
  • Collaborate with various internal teams including sales, brand marketing etc. to enhance the impact of trade/ shopper marketing strategy proactively, lead agencies to develop and execute effective adverting and media plan
  • Formulating both short- and long-term trade strategies identify growth opportunities in sales and distribution channels
  • Building data dashboards, best practice, innovative programs and operating procedures to maximise effectiveness

To qualify, individuals must possess:

  • Degree and have 9+ years of core Consumer Insight and Market Research experience in FMCG/ retail/ consumer goods sector
  • Market research agency background welcomed, with experience in Sales & Marketing/ Trade/ Shopper Marketing Management experience in top tier FMCG companies is preferred
  • Brand equity and Marketing experience with a proven track record in designing a business strategy to drive the top and bottom-line sales growth
  • Agency management experience with solid knowledge in cost control, analysing consumer research and market data, converting data into business strategy
  • Strong analytic, business acumen and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding presentations skills with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Excellent command of written & spoken English and Cantonese
