Business Development Manager - Technology Solutions

Job description

Our client is an industry leader in workplace technology solutions with several thousand staff worldwide. Due to expansion, they are looking for a new Business Development Manager based in Hong Kong to explore local and regional new business opportunities.

Reporting to the Director of APAC Sales, you will be responsible for demonstrating a consultative sales approach to determine client needs and develop successful relationships with corporate clients who are looking for workplace technology solutions including network infrastructure, managed services, videoconferencing tools, etc. You will also cultivate a network of contacts within the commercial leasing industry who can refer business leads. You will develop price quotations, bid responses, contracts and pricing strategies for target accounts and post-sale you will work with the installation team to ensure smooth delivery. You will design and implement prospecting tools such as webinars, seminars and email campaigns to increase sales and awareness in the region.

To qualify, individuals must possess:

  • A minimum of 8 years' consultative direct sales experience within technology in Hong Kong; an understanding of workplace solutions or system integration is advantageous but not required
  • A track record of proven success in corporate sales in Hong Kong
  • Ability to understand and demonstrate technology products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Cantonese a plus
  • Problem-solving mind set and strong attention to detail
  • A Bachelor's degree
