Business Analyst - Insurance (Entry to Senior Level)

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements across insurance domains (e.g. Policy Administration, Claims, Underwriting, Billing)
  • Work closely with business users to understand current processes and identify improvement opportunities
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows
  • Support system implementation, enhancements, and integration projects
  • Liaise with IT, vendors, and external parties to ensure requirements are correctly understood and delivered
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and stakeholder discussions
  • Support UAT planning and execution, including test case preparation and defect tracking
  • Ensure solutions meet business, regulatory, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain project documentation and support change management activities

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Business, IT, Finance, or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of Business Analyst experience within the Insurance industry
  • Solid knowledge of insurance business processes (Life, General, or Health)
  • Experience working on systems such as:
    • Policy Administration Systems
    • Claims Systems
    • CRM or Digital Platforms
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering and documentation
  • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile or Waterfall project methodologies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
