Bank | Senior Business Analyst (5-month contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the elicitation, assessment, and documentation of business needs, including defining epics, developing user stories, and maintaining the product backlog.
• Partner with stakeholders to convert high-level business needs and solution designs into clear and detailed functional specifications.
• Analyse end-to-end customer journeys, map current and target operating processes, and evaluate product capabilities.
• Collaborate with business owners to prioritise backlog items by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
• Investigate operational challenges and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline workflows. Propose high-level solution options, considering feasibility across business, technical, commercial, and delivery perspectives.
• Oversee the execution of complex initiatives aimed at enhancing customer experience, from initial concept through to deployment.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams across different regions-including Product Owners, Business Analysts, Technology, and Digital teams-to support estimation, planning, and seamless transition from analysis to delivery.
• Proactively identify risks and issues, take ownership of resolution, and remove obstacles to ensure smooth project progress.
• Drive accountability among stakeholders to ensure timely delivery aligned with quality expectations.
• Support post-implementation evaluations to measure outcomes and track the success of delivered initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain key project materials such as project plans, progress updates, implementation checkpoints, training resources, user guides, and communications.
• Provide ongoing support throughout the delivery lifecycle (development, testing, and rollout) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are ready for release.

Requirements

• Experience or knowledge in Wealth Management, Private Banking, or related domains is advantageous.
• Strong track record in business analysis and solution design across a mix of business, operational, and technology-focused initiatives.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking with the ability to assess situations and resolve complex issues effectively.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and driving change initiatives.
• High level of ownership and a strong commitment to delivering quality outcomes and excellent stakeholder service.
• Degree holder in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with stakeholders.
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
