Our client is a sizable company with a strong global presence. To meet with their expanding business, they are looking for an Assistant Manager to join their AR team in Finance.

Reporting to the AR Manager you will be responsible for:

  • To monitor the AR performance of regional offices, identify regions and customers with collection problems and make recommendations to management
  • To study AR performance evaluations reports and credit analysis reports to ensure global AR KPIs are achieved
  • To assist AR manager to ensure compliance of policies and procedures in all regional offices in relation to Credit Control Policy and the Group AR Procedures
  • To review existing workflow and assist to fine-tune the current control processes
  • To provide support to regional offices on AR operational matters such as system logic and usage, invoicing issues, bad debt applications
  • To conduct ad-hoc financial control review of the Group's regional offices
  • To assist on system enhancements in relation to AR modules as needed
  • To assist the AR month-end closing task and to assist with other reporting requirements


To qualify, individuals must possess:

  • University graduate in Accounting or related discipline
  • Qualified accountant or having passed all qualified accountant examinations
  • Min. 6 years' work experience, of which at least 2 years in supervisory role in credit monitoring and collections
  • Knowledge in shipping industry is an advantage
  • Working experience in internal control or risk management is welcome
  • Mature, self-motivated, deadline-driven and comfortable working under pressure
  • Be able to work independently with a critical thinking mindset and minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Open-minded, able to deal with and adapt to changes
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Putonghua
  • Competent in MS Windows applications, strong in excel
  • Fast learner, be able to navigate through various systems
