Assistant Finance Manager - NGO

We are partnering with a well-established non-profit organization to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager to support its finance operations. This role is suitable for an experienced finance professional who is comfortable working independently and managing end-to-end finance responsibilities, particularly within a fund-based or NGO environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day finance operations on a hands-on basis, including service unit budgeting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports for multiple funding bodies, ensuring compliance with relevant funding and regulatory requirements
  • Perform budget monitoring, variance analysis, and provide financial support and insights to operational units
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records and reporting
  • Maintain proper accounting controls, documentation, and compliance with internal policies and funding guidelines
  • Support finance related initiatives and ad hoc assignments as required

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • ACCA / HKICPA qualified
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant finance experience gained from sizable organizations
  • Mandatory experience in the NGO / non-profit sector, with hands on exposure to fund based or subvented financial reporting
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel; Oracle experience is a plus
  • Self-motivated, persistent, and highly organized, with strong communication skills
