Actuarial Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities

* Support the delivery of pricing projects across different product lines, including product development, pricing, in-force repricing, system implementation, and process enhancement.

* Assist in managing project timelines and provide regular progress updates to the Product Pricing Leadership Team.

* Conduct product pricing analysis and contribute to financial optimization initiatives by applying levers identified in Pricing R&D and Product Pricing Strategy.

* Help develop risk mitigation recommendations and ensure key risks are identified and addressed.

* Support system implementation activities, including preparing system change requirements and performing necessary checks.

* Coordinate with product approval functions in AIA Hong Kong and Group Office, ensuring their requirements and feedback are addressed.

* Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal standards and guidelines.

* Contribute to Pricing R&D initiatives and assist in the development and maintenance of product pricing strategies.

* Review and provide recommendations on special quotation requests as delegated.

Minimum Job Requirements

* Nearly qualified or newly qualified Actuary with around 3-7 years of experience in a life insurer, reinsurer, or consultancy.

* Knowledge of key actuarial concepts including assumption setting, cash flow modelling, ALM, investment, capital management, medical business, and valuation; or understanding of operational aspects related to product implementation.

* Strong understanding of financial and risk considerations for various product features, with the ability to perform detailed analysis where required.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear pricing reports and communicate effectively with technical stakeholders.

* Solid project coordination skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

* Proficiency in English; Cantonese/Mandarin is an advantage.
