Accounting Officer

Our client is a stable shipowning and investment group seeking an Accounting Officer to support full‑set accounting, month‑end closing, and reporting for multiple entities. The role offers exposure to maritime and asset‑based businesses within a structured environment and good work‑life balance.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle full set of accounts independently, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations
  • Perform month‑end closing activities and prepare accounting schedules
  • Issue invoices, monitor collections, and handle revenue recognition for logistics operations
  • Review vendor invoices and ensure proper approvals and accurate postings
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and management schedules
  • Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors when required
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting duties and process improvements

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • At least 2-5 years of accounting experience handling full sets of accounts
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or MNC environment is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and month‑end processes
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting systems / ERP
  • Strong attention to detail with good organisational skills
  • Able to work independently in a stable and structured environment
  • Good command of spoken and written English
