Accounting Manager - Commodity trading company

We are partnering with a well‑established trading company to hire an Accounting Manager to oversee its accounting function. This role is a hybrid of FP&A and general accounting, with exposure to trade finance operations. It's best suited for candidates who have both hands-on accounting skills and experience in commodities/trading finance workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily accounting entries, invoice verification, bank reconciliations, and filing systems.
• Month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Manage Letters of Credit (L/Cs), trade loans, discounting, and monitor banking facilities.
• Track daily cash positions, optimize fund utilization, and provide updates.
• Accounts payable/receivable management, timely payments, and collections support.
• Liaise with tax advisors, auditors, and bankers.
• Liaise with company colleagues in North and South America and mainland China.
• Business analysis/reviews for Hong Kong and PRC operations.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting / Finance; CPA/ACCA preferred
• 5+ years' experience, ideally from Trading/Commodities preferred
• Strong hands‑on full set accounting experience
• Proven experience in Trade Finance instruments (L/Cs, Trust Receipts, etc.)
• Analytical, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently
• Good communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders
