Accounatnt/ Senior Accountant

The Company

Our client is a world's leading US listed medical technologies corporation. Their products include implants used in joint replacement and trauma surgeries, surgical equipment and medical device products etc. They are hiring accountant and senior accountant to prepare monthly financial statements for submission to International Division and Corporate office. This role is responsible for complex business unit for Asia Pacific.

Responsibility

• Capture, track, and report revenue and expenses; determine appropriate procedures for accounting record preparation, research of transactions and reporting end-to-end.
• Full knowledge of balance sheet of small entities on a regular recurring process.
• Work with BPO to oversee, reconcile and resolve problems relating to accounting entries requiring professional knowledge and judgement.
• Maintain and review accounting process controls and implement any approved modification as directed by management.
• Develop and maintain desktop procedures and process documentation for company processs or review DTP's prepared by BPO.
• Test and execute internal controls audit programs in accordance to SOX and Corporate policy.
• Perform accounting month end closing procedures, run and analyse financial reports, prepare financial reports for submission to Corporate for consolidations.
• Recommend, assist, test, or implement process streamlining, system improvements or workflow changes.
• Liaise with local finance and BPO and identify and resolve incorrect journal entries, data anomalies, deviations from established procedures, and unusual issues.
• Collect data, information, policies and perform research on details of transactions. Ensure work complies with complex corporate and accounting policies which may require interpretation

Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA qualified (applicants who are currently pursuing CPA will be considered for the accountant level role)
• 2 to 3 years audit experience or 5 years of commercial experience in Finance
• US GAAP, SOX 404 experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge in Hyperion / JDE would be an advantage
• Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey information effectively and persuasively to business partners and BPO
• Highly meticulous and detail oriented
• Quick learner and resourceful team player who enjoys the challenges of working in a fast-paced environment
